And so I decided to paint a horse
My first try was HORRIBLE - oh yes! - truly, miserably horrible!
That discouraged me. I painted over the "failure" immediately so no one would know and hid the canvas in the corner facing the wall. No one shall know.
Then, a few days later, I painted another horse - quietly, with no one around....and another one. And so it continued, "failure" after "failure" :
5 against the wall...
10 against the wall...
14 against the wall. 1 facing out...
16 against the wall. 4 facing out.
Not only did I finally learn about painting horses, I also learned a bit about myself, my fear of failure ((still working on that one), and the value of repetition in expanding my painting skills.
"I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it."
